FLCDC Executive Director Bishop Billy G. Newton
Bishop Billy G. Newton serves as Executive Director of Future Leaders Community Development Corporation (FLCDC) in Orlando, Florida. Pastor Newton manages the staff and day to day operations of Future Leaders CDC. Mr. Newton has broad experience in both the public and private sectors.
He served on many local and community boards including; Keep Orlando Beautiful, Affordable Housing Board, Municipal Planning Board, Zoning Board, as well as other board leadership positions under Orlando Mayors Glenda Hood and Buddy Dyer.
Among his many duties, he participated in the assessment and analysis of affordable housing projects and programs proposed by community development organizations, reviewing written proposals and participating in interviews with the proposing agencies.
He served for many years as a bank examiner in the Southeastern District of the United States Treasury Department.
In 2011 and 2012 Mr. Newton served in the role of a housing development specialist with Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation (ONIC) during the planning and redevelopment of Emerald Villas, a 440-unit rental rehabilitation project in the Pine Hills community.
